The classroom environment is where training events take place. Both instructor(s) and students may spend most of their time there.

Everything from going through slides, writing or drawing on the whiteboard, adding code-snippets or working on the lab takes place in the classroom environment.

The classroom environment is split into three main areas:

  • The left navigation bar - allowing you to move between class sections.

  • The right communication panel - where video, chat and hand-raising takes place.

  • The middle content area - where the class's contents are presented.

Presenting to the classroom

Use the different class sections, such as whiteboard, slides and share-screen to deliver your message. By default, students follow you as you move between the different sections and see the content you are presenting on their screens.

If you wish to stop presenting, simply toggle "Present Mode" to off. This can be useful during lab exercises as you will probably be busy visiting students' labs rather than presenting to the classroom.

Note: Students can choose to stay in sync with your current position or navigate the classroom on their own.

Using and presenting your lab

All training staff, including yourself, will get access to their own labs. The training staff's labs are identical to the one students get. To access your lab, use the left navigation panel. Visiting your lab while in "Present mode" will automatically display your lab to everyone in the classroom (as long as they're following you).

Accessing settings and attendees list

Event settings are exposed solely to event hosts, and these are accessed via the cog-wheel icon on the bottom left corner of the classroom environment.

The attendees list can be accessed by both the event's host and its training assistants. This is done via the people icon on the bottom left corner.

Changing your profile picture and name and logging out

These actions are available by clicking the profile icon on the top left. Logging out and joining back in will not change your lab status.
