During large (100+ people) live events with Strigo, you may encounter performance issues when sharing your lab with the rest of the classroom. Luckily, there's a workaround that can help.

How do you know if you're experiencing this type of issue?

As the presenter, you're the sole experiencer of these performance hiccups, while the rest of the attendees' labs operate smoothly.

The exact lab issues vary and may manifest as freezes, black screens, repeated reconnections, or overall sluggishness.

Why is this happening?

In most cases, these issues rear their heads during larger events (100+ people) when demonstrating your lab to the classroom.

The problem lies in how Strigo shares your lab with the class โ€” the multiple connections to your machine can cause these hiccups.

The workaround

To quickly overcome these issues and return to your training, use the screen-sharing feature to share your lab instead of the default presentation mechanism.

Option 1: Sharing a TA's/Learner's lab

  1. Navigate to the share-screen option in the classroom's left navigation panel and begin sharing your screen.

  2. Share the Strigo classroom browser tab.

  3. Head to the attendees' panel and visit the desired lab.

  4. Conduct your demonstration.

Option 2: Joining the classroom as a new user and sharing that lab

  1. Open an incognito window.

  2. Sign in to the classroom with a different email address (any will do, even x@gmail.com).

  3. Return to your Strigo presenter tab.

  4. Navigate to the share-screen option in the classroom's left navigation panel and start sharing your screen.

  5. Share the Strigo classroom browser tab.

  6. Go to the attendees' panel, locate the user you just joined the class with and visit their lab.

  7. Conduct your demonstration.
